ELIT Student Hadil Abou El-Ardat Publishes Article in International Journal
The English Language and Literature (ELIT) and English Language and Literature, Teaching (ELT) programs at IUS proudly celebrate the achievement of ELIT student Hadil Abou El-Ardat. Her article, “A Historical and Linguistic Overview of the Maltese Language,” was recently published in the International Journal of Language and Literary Studies.
Hadil initially developed her research during the ELIT201 Academic Writing course in the spring 2024 semester under the mentorship of Dr. Emina Jelešković. She later presented her work at the 4th International Youth Conference on Language, Literature, and Education, hosted by the ELIT and ELT programs in October 2024.
In a message to her peers, Hadil shared:
“Even though the writing process can be challenging (and it is), it is important to stay persistent. Keep writing, because in the end, you create a work of your own, but also something for the world to share and learn from.”
The ELIT and ELT programs remain committed to empowering their students by fostering their passions, providing writing and research opportunities, and supporting them in presenting and publishing their work.
Hadil’s article can be accessed here.
Congratulations, Hadil, on this remarkable achievement!
